- How soon can we expect to get bookings after we affiliate as a Supplier?
We invest in promotional campaigns among Distributors specially via paid search engine submissions, pay-per-click campaigns and travel fairs. Success depend on many factors like the popularity of the destination and the property, the descriptions and photos provided, rates offered, room availability etc.
- Why should we give access to our small partner tour operators and agents already working with us?
RoomAllot is also a tool that you can offer to your partners who work with on an on-request basis and help them increase their sales. Access to the shared allotment to offer them real-time accurate availability, on the spot confirmation and, amendments will allows them to give their customers a more prompt service and giving them access to guaranteed availability tempts them to give your property priority when offering options. They have the same advantages enjoyed by large tour operators with fixed allotments. Additionally hoteliers enjoy high revenue from smaller Tour operators and Travel agents since they are offered slightly high rates than large operators.
- How much does this cost us and our partners?
There are no joining or monthly fees. RoomAllot is a fee based service charged per booking from the Supplier and is completely free for the partners. You can create and relate with any number of Tour operators, Travel agents, corporate customers etc. Please send an email to sales@roomallot.com to know more about pricing and we also offer a grace period for new Supplier accounts.
- How soon can we start creating accounts and start using the service after we join?
Depending on the initial information we can get from you, it may take up to 24 hours to create your account, build the profile of the property, add pictures and hand over the account to you. After you have reviewed and edited the information if required, you can feed in the rates, allotment and start creating accounts for your partners at your own convenience.
You can also relate with existing 'Open' Tour op account holders affiliated with RoomAllot, who are interested in selling your property.
- How do we receive and ensure payment in time from Tour operators and Travel agents?
At the time of booking acknowledgment you can set a payment deadline. A standard notice (which you can remove or change) appear on the acknowledgment email giving caution that the booking will be cancelled if not paid by deadline. We recommend to arrange for a floating deposit from your partner to be safe.
- If we open private accounts for our partners, can they view and relate with other Suppliers affiliated with RoomAllot?
RoomAllot can be used for private networking as well. 'Private' Tour Op accounts can access the properties offered by the Supplier who opened the account only. They do not see the list of other Suppliers properties working with RoomAllot. Only the Supplier who initially opened the account can change the 'Private' account to a 'Open' account.
- Is it possible for our wholesalers to open a Supplier account and distribute our property simultaneously?
Yes this is possible, and they can offer accounts to their Agents and sell the property simultaneously in a private or open environment.
- Giving Tour operators and Travel agents access to live allotment and the ability to confirm and cancel bookings with instant confirmation may result in more abuse. How do we tackle this problem?
RoomAllot allows Suppliers to monitor in real-time who blocks, who books and can view how long and how frequently they block the room and release without confirming. This data is also saved in a sortable history file.
The advanced search page can extract reports for individual Agents to study the pattern of how they book and cancel.
Suppliers can iventually suspend or cancel accounts
that they find are abusing the access.
